Walk 21 – Chedworth

9 September 2002

Things have changed around Point B. The tall conifer hedge screening Saffron House has been removed by new owners and replaced with beech saplings. As you descend the hill therefore, you need to look right for the house, then take the grass path (part protected by a length of rope) down the side of the house.

There are a few minor changes to stiles between Points B & D, but the route is still easy to follow. Also, the 'Beware of the Bull' sign has been removed.

Leaving the A429 at the start of the walk, the footpath sign is there, but there is now a driveway at the edge of the field, so the path goes up the drive and through a wooden gate into the field.

Just before point E, a metal gate now gives access to the airfield.

The steps leading down to point G are now marked by a‘Chedworth Nature Reserve’ descriptive board.
