At point 'E' the wire fence on the right referred to in the text has been removed, so just follow the track, bearing left with the school on the left.

The track from Point E is becoming a surfaced driveway, follow it, bearing left with the school on the left.

Charlton Farm is being redeveloped as a childrens' hospice. The buttery is getting a new roof (I think).

The last paragraph has been revised providing a safer route back to your starting point (you can still walk along the road if you want). New text in bold type

"Pass Mill Lane on the right (Point J) then turn left into Church Road, pausing as it bends right to look at the Portbury Standing Stone and test your vision by trying to read the text on the brass plaque! Follow the lane as it passes the church, then go over the stile directly ahead and through the pasture to a stile on the opposite side. Cross this and continue to the road ahead where you double back on yourself to find a further stile (many walkers turn right after crossing the second stile) directly opposite the entrance to the layby and your starting point."
