Progress is being made on the obstructed paths around this walk. The first tangible sign is an email from Wilts Council regarding the blocked path that leaves the road opposite Bencroft Farm (before point F in the book, or between points F & G on the e-book). The land across which the path runs has new owners and the Rights of Way Officer has been in touch with them. His subsequent email to me says:

"After inspecting this area we are going to put in waymarks to make the route clearer and adding stiles and a sleeper bridge over the ditch. This is with the landowners help after our conversation with him. This should make this route completely accessible for those wishing to use the ROW."

This may take a little time to get sorted out, but can anyone walking this route email me with a progress report please? Also, once the route across the garden is reopened, please use it rather than the bridleway further along the road.
