Walk 25 – Mells & Nunney
1 October 2006
At point A the road to Great Elm and Frome is no longer signposted, so at this 6-way junction, take the second road, the first (on left) is Park Hill, the third crosses a bridge.

After point D, last Paragraph on page 150. Instead of “go half left to climb a stile beyond the garden of the bungalow on the left”, now read: “You now go half-left to climb a wooden stile beyond the first garden on the left”. (This is because the hedge round the bungalow is now so tall that you cannot see it.)
Same paragraph: after passing road on right signed Nunney, now read: “100 metres after this turning, beyond buildings on the right, there is a door in the wall with a footpath sign. This leads through shrubbery and onto a gravel drive. Follow the drive right for a few metres and where it splits, keep left, descending on a track through a car park."
Bottom of page 151, Instead of “go through and follow the footpath to a further kissing gate”, now read: “Go through and follow the tarmac path, forking right to a further kissing gate”.
Page 152, between points F & G. Instead of “After 300 metres go right at the first turning opposite a bungalow”, now read: “After 300 metres, you pass a turning right and bungalow on the left. Continue a short distance further, then climb a stile on the right into pasture. Cross the field aiming for…” (This is due to the reinstatement of the original stile, and the wiring up of the gate that gave the alternative access to the field.)
Top of page 154. “head down the field towards an obvious white arrow in the hedge corner.” The arrow has been replaced by a conventional waymark, so now read: “head down the field towards a hedge corner. Here, a waymark sign directs you to the right, along the hedge, to reach a substantial squeezer stile on the left.”
