Walk 5 – Burrington Ham
29 July 2010 (part of the WWA e-book revision)
Page 25, para 2, line 5:
‘walk right to reach a kissing gate’ now reads ‘walk right to reach a gate on the left into an orchard. Walk down through the orchard to a further gate.’
Page 25, para 4:
After Point C, the kissing gate is now broken and redundant in the hedge and the well-used path goes though an open gateway with no gate.
Page 26: After Point D, now read ‘Go left, climbing now to the brow of the hill where a bridleway sign directs you right, through an elaborate gateway into woodland.
Proceed on the broad stony path passing to the left of a blue bridleway marker and climbing slightly. The path veers gently to the left and flattens out. There is a second blue marker on the right side of the path (Point E). Just beyond it, turn very sharply right onto the broad grassy track that you follow, climbing until you reach a limestone outcrop (Point F).
