Walk 1 – Wick Rocks
2 May 2005
Page 9, 3rd paragraph: after point 'C' it says to walk right for a short distance, then climb a stile on the left. The stile has now been replace by a kissing gate. As you walk down this field an extra fence with a stile has been built half-way down so you have to climb this before your reach the stile and footbridge in the bottom left hand corner. Once you cross the footbridge you turn right on to a lane, but then you have to turn right on to a second lane (this second lane is not mentioned in the text). The route is then fine from this point on.

Page 9. 2nd paragraph
The route through the quarry has been ‘upgraded’ in order to keep walkers a little safer. At the end of the walkway climb the drive ahead passing black oil tanks on your left and using the marked footpath between a wooden fence and an Armco barrier. At the top of the rise go straight ahead to cross a stile beside a warning sign and follow the narrow footpath between two wooden fences to a stile giving access to a meadow.

Page 7, line 2. The pair of f.p. signs have been replaced by just one sign.
Page 9. The field beyond point A is cropped. Please blaze a trail across the crops rather than trespass around the field edge. (This path is part of the Monarch’s Way, so should be kept in good order.)
Page 9, para 3, line 3. The fence is now a hedge.
Page 9, para 4, line 3. The ‘path ahead’ is now signed “The Ravens Rock Trail”.
Page 9, para 5, line 1. The ‘path up to the left’ is a sharp left, signed ‘Easy Access’.
Page 10, para 3, line 1-2. For clarity, add the following after ‘then go right and…’ ignoring the gate in the corner, follow the field edge along the stone wall to further gates.
Page 10. After point G, the stile is now a kissing gate, as is the one before point H.
