19 October 2009 Anthony Bush, the bane of Walk Westers and walkers in general, is being investigated over allegations that his 'Noah's Ark Farm' breeds animals for the "infamous" Great British Circus, the only UK circus which still exploits tigers in its shows. WWA walk 2, the Bluebell Walk passes through his property. Read the problems walkers have had HERE, and view the BBC report HERE.
2 October 2009 Green book walk 28, Mynydd Machen (again). I'm told the landowner at Pen-y-cwarel farm is telling walkers the route between points G & H is to be closed/diverted, and that the Ramblers have agreed to this. Can I assure walkers that this is not the case, any attempt to change the status of the footpath will be stronly opposed.
Please contact me if you hear this from the landowner.

26 August 2009 Walk West 3. Walk 22 (Goytre Wharf). The entrance to the car park at the start of the walk has been ilegally blocked, making parking difficult, especially at weekends. The Council are planning to erect a lockable barrier to enable regular users to have access to the car park. This is useless for occasional visitors, so if you have problems here, please email: lauren.gregory@torfaen.gov.uk who is the Project Officer for Torfaen Council
